Dhaka, June 2 -- The government has reassigned six additional secretaries to different offices as part of the latest round of administrative reshuffles.

A new divisional commissioner has also been appointed in Mymensingh, while Magura has received a new deputy commissioner.

On Monday and Tuesday, the Ministry of Public Administration announced a series of appointments and transfers.

The latest moves come amid continuing changes in the bureaucracy since the BNP formed the government after securing a sweeping majority in the Feb 12 election.

SM Humayun Kabir Sarkar, an additional secretary at the Health Services Division, has been appointed divisional commissioner of Mymensingh.
