Dhaka, Feb. 26 -- Controversial singer Mainul Ahsan Noble has been accused of assaulting a young woman just a day after she assisted him in securing bail in a fraud and harassment case.

The complainant, Ananya Shabnam Rose, brought the allegations before reporters at the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court premises on Thursday.

She appeared at court with her mother and sister to seek legal advice on cancelling Noble's bail.

"He secured bail by pleading and crying, but as soon as we reached home, he started beating me again for filing the case against him," Ananya said, showing reporters several bruise marks on her left arm.
