Bangladesh, Aug. 19 -- Seven left-leaning student organisations have announced a joint panel called the "Pratirodh Parshod", or resistance panel, to contest the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) election.

From this platform, Sheikh Tasnim Afroze Emi will run for vice-president (VP). She earlier served as VP of Shamsunnahar Hall.

The general secretary (GS) post will be contested by Meghmallar Basu, president of the Dhaka University unit of Bangladesh Chhatra Union, while Md Jabir Ahmed Jubel, central GS of Revolutionary Student Unity, will run for assistant general secretary (AGS).
