Dhaka, June 26 -- Sedition, fraud and embezzlement charges have been added to the case filed by the BNP over the "failure" of three former Election Commissions to conduct their constitutional responsibilities under the Awami League regime and for carrying out elections without the people's mandate through "intimidation".
The three chief election commissioners who served during the 10th, 11th and 12th parliamentary elections, along with election commissioners and ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina are suspects in the case.
The investigating officer in the case, Sub Inspector Shamsuzzoha Sarkar of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, petitioned on Wednesday to add charges under Sections 120 (a)/420/406 of the Penal Code to the case. Dhaka...
