Dhaka, June 19 -- Despite widespread media reports and social media discussion, a 22-year-old Bangladeshi student remains missing in Cyprus. Local police claim investigations are continuing.

"As part of the examinations, all technological tools are being utilised to locate the 22-year-old and/or the places he was or visited from the moment he left his place of residence," Cypriot police said on Friday.

Identified as Shahriar Ahmed Emon, the student has reportedly been missing from his home in the Larnaca region located on the country's southeastern coast since Jun 12, according to the Cyprus Mail.
