Dhaka, March 28 -- Primary and secondary schools, colleges, and madrasas across Bangladesh are set to resume academic activities on Sunday following the conclusion of the Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

Classroom activities will restart across all tiers of the education system after a month-long hiatus that began in mid-February.

"We are resuming classes from Sunday and all necessary preparations have been completed," said Shahinur Al-Amin, an assistant teacher at Charigram Government Primary School in Keraniganj.

To compensate for the loss of academic days during the month of Ramadan, the Directorate of Primary Education has directed all government primary schools to remain open for the next 10 consecutive Saturdays.
