Dhaka, Oct. 18 -- Rishad Hossain delivered a dazzling spell of leg-spin to hand Bangladesh a 74-run morale-boosting victory over the West Indies in the first ODI, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
His career-best 6 for 35 ripped through the visitors' batting after they had made a confident start chasing 208 on a spin-friendly Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Saturday.
He sealed the victory with his sixth wicket, Jayden Seales, as the Caribbeanside folded for a meek 133 in 39 overs, ending a run of poor results for the Tigers with a much-needed win under captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
At 51 without loss, the West Indies appeared in control, with Brandon King and Alick Athanaze dictating terms early on.
