Dhaka, Nov. 29 -- Repeated clashes have broken out between two rival groups vying for dominance in Faridpur's Saltha Upazila.
Thousands of people from at least 20 villages became involved in the clash, which lasted for about six hours.
More than 100 people from both sides were injured. At least 30 of them have been admitted to several hospitals, including Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
KM Maruf Hasan Russell, inspector (Investigation) of Saltha Police Station, said the clashes took place at three separate locations in the Baliya Bazaar area of Gatti Union from 6am on Saturday until around 11:45am.
