Dhaka, Sept. 29 -- Rail communication between Dhaka and the northern districts has been restored nearly seven hours after a Panchagarh Express train derailed in Pabna's Bhangura.
Authorities have formed a four-strong committee to investigate the incident, which occurred on Monday morning.
Bangladesh Railway Pakshi Divisional Engineer-2 Najib Kaiser said train services resumed around 10:45am, after the damaged carriages and engine were removed from the tracks.
The derailment occurred around 4am, when eight wheels from two coaches, including the engine, left the rails near Bhangura Railway Station.
However, no casualties were reported.
