Dhaka, June 7 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is personally taking stock of the performance of different ministries, Chief Whip Nurul Islam has said.

Speaking after BNP's parliamentary party meeting on Saturday, he said discussions focused on the activities of ministries, including education, health, communications, power, law and home affairs, ahead of the 2026-27 budget session.

Nurul said the prime minister had held separate meetings with ministers to assess progress and identify areas of improvement.

"Minor shortcomings may exist in every ministry. We are working to ensure those shortcomings are addressed," he told reporters.
