Dhaka, April 23 -- Prof Khan Moinuddin Al Mahmud Sohel has been appointed as the director general of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).

The Secondary and Higher Education Division of the education ministry issued a notification on Thursday naming him to this post.

Sohel had previously been granted additional charges as the director general of DSHE on Apr 16.

He was serving as the director of the directorate's Secondary Wing following his role as the private secretary to the Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon.
