Dhaka, Feb. 17 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has decided to spend his first day at work at the administrative nerve centre Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday.
After being sworn in as the 11th prime minister of Bangladesh on Tuesday, the BNP chairman's move to the Secretariat signals the start of his administrative tenure following an absolute majority win in the parliamentary polls.
Cabinet Division Joint Secretary Mohammad Taufiqul Islam told bdnews24.com that the new prime minister is expected to arrive at the Secretariat around noon.
He, however, said the schedule for a cabinet meeting has not yet been confirmed.
Tarique will visit the National Memorial in Savar to pay his respects.
