Dhaka, May 10 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has inaugurated Police Week-2026.

The prime minister inaugurated the four-day-long event with the annual parade at Rajarbagh Police Lines grounds on Sunday morning.

The theme of this year's Police Week is "My Police, My Country, Bangladesh Comes First"

The programmes for Police Week that kicked off on Sunday will continue until May 13.

The prime minister inspected and received salutes by an orderly, impressive and colourful parade of various police contingents and flag-carrying teams. He rode in an open jeep during the inspection.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Hasan Mohammad Naser Rikabder led the annual police parade.
