Dhaka, March 27 -- President Mohammed Shahabuddin will visit Pabna on a four-day official trip, his first to the home district since the new government took office.

Extensive preparations have been completed across the district ahead of his arrival.

On Saturday, the president will leave Dhaka for his district by helicopter, said Abul Kalam Md Lutfur Rahman, protocol officer, in a letter detailing the schedule.

The first day of the visit begins on Saturday at 12:30pm, when Shahabuddin departs from Bangabhaban to Tejgaon Helipad.

He will then fly to Pabna Cadet College grounds, where he is supposed to land.

After arriving, he will receive a guard of honour at Pabna Circuit House and spend the night there.
