Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- President Mohammed Shahabuddin has accepted the resignations of High Court Division judges Justice Mamnoon Rahman and Justice Naima Haider.

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued separate notifications on Monday confirming the development.

Justice Mamnoon, who had been on leave for a year, submitted his resignation on Feb 2, citing personal reasons.

His resignation was sent via email to the Supreme Court Registrar General and the law ministry.

Justice Naima resigned on Feb 9.

According to Supreme Court spokesperson Md Shafiqul Islam, she submitted her resignation to the president through the chief justice on Feb 5, which was later forwarded to Bangabhaban.
