Dhaka, March 21 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sought prayers and support from the public to build the "Bangladesh people aspire to".
He made the call on Saturday after exchanging Eid greetings with diplomats and people from different walks of life at the State Guest House Jamuna.
"Eid Mubarak to everyone. On this Eid, we pray to Allah for mercy so that we may gradually build the Bangladesh our people aspire to."
The prime minister said he was also seeking the prayers of the people and their cooperation.
"If we have your support, then your elected government will continue trying with its full strength to build the country in line with your aspirations," he said.
