Dhaka, July 30 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has begun his official activities at the Secretariat on Thursday by handing over appointment letters to three people with disabilities.

According to Deputy Press Secretary Mostafa Zulfiquar Hasan, the prime minister presented the appointment letters as he entered his office at the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat.

He said, "The first programme of the day for the honourable Prime Minister Mr Tarique Rahman was the distribution of appointment letters to people with disabilities. The recipients were Ayesha Akter from Saghata Upazila of Gaibandha, Neela Khatun from Kamarkhanda Upazila of Sirajganj, and Md Hasmat Ali from Narail Sadar Upazila."
