Dhaka, May 5 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has ordered authorities to remove sacrificial animal waste within 12 hours nationwide during Eid-ul-Azha.

After a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office at the Secretariat on Monday evening, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed said the premier also issued directives on hide preservation and holiday travel.

Salahuddin said, "Several decisions were made in the meeting, when the prime minister gave several instructions. The next important issue after the sacrifice is waste management.

"We received that decision [Monday]; the prime minister has given it."
