Dhaka, June 22 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has begun his China visit after arriving in the northeastern city of Dalian following a trip to Malaysia.

He reached Dalian's Zhoushuizi International Airport around 10:45pm local time on Monday, according to the Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman.

He told bdnews24.com that Liaoning Province Vice-Governor Bai Yang, Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka Yao Wen, and Bangladesh Ambassador to China Mohammad Nazmul Islam received the prime minister at the airport.

From the airport, Tarique was taken to his hotel in a motorcade, Ruman said.
