Dhaka, Nov. 5 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has arrived at Mongla Port in Bagerhat.

His helicopter touched down at the port helipad at 10am Thursday, Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony told bdnews24.com.

"The prime minister has two programmes in Mongla. After those, he will visit the shrine of Khan Jahan Ali in Bagerhat town," Rony said.

He will then travel to Khulna by road and open Notun Kuri Sports Season 2 at the district stadium.

Notun Kuri Sports is an initiative to groom skilled athletes from the grassroots to national level.

Tarique first visited Khulna and Bagerhat on Oct 22 after winning the February election and taking office.
