Dhaka, March 14 -- A woman has been killed after bricks from a collapsed wall of an under-construction building fell on her head during the rain in Dhaka's Moghbazar.

The incident occurred around 8pm on Friday in lane No. 3 of Madhubagh, police said.

The victim, 35-year-old Rasheda Begum, a domestic worker and wife of rickshaw puller Saiful Islam from Gaibandha Sadar Upazila, lived with her family on the Madhubagh lane.

The couple have three daughters and two sons.

Her brother-in-law Sakhawat Hossain, who took her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Rasheda had been walking home after finishing work when a portion of the wall fell on her head.
