Dhaka, March 25 -- Rescue teams have recovered the bodies of two more women from the Padma River following a harrowing bus accident at Daulatdia Ferry Terminal in Rajbari, raising the total recovered to four.
The victims were transported to the Goalanda Upazila Health Complex, Rajbari Civil Surgeon SM Masud confirmed, though their identities could not be immediately verified.
The horror struck on Wednesday evening when a Dhaka-bound Showhardo Paribahan bus, carrying dozens of passengers, lost control while attempting to board a ferry.
The vehicle plunged roughly 30 feet into the river, Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters reported.
