Dhaka, March 9 -- The Bangladesh government has appointed two new prosecutors to the International Crimes Tribunal.
Prosecutor Md Saimum Reza Talukder, meanwhile, has resigned from his post.
In separate orders issued by the Solicitors Division of the Law and Justice Department of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Monday, Advocates Marjina Raihan (Madina) and Mohammad Jahurul Amin have been appointed as new prosecutors with the equivalent rank of deputy attorney-general.
In another order, the resignation of Saimum Reza from the tribunal's prosecution was accepted and he was relieved of his duties. He had been appointed to the post on Oct 7, 2024.
