Bangladesh, Aug. 19 -- The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected president will be held at Bangabhaban on Friday evening, the day after the election.

The presidential election will be held at the Parliament House from 2pm to 5pm on Thursday. BNP's Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Oli Ahmed of the 11-party alliance are racing for the post.

On Wednesday, Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni told bdnews24.com: "Preparations have been made for the elected president to take the oath at Bangabhaban at 7pm on Aug 21. There are no difficulties with the preparations on our side."
