Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- The National Citizen Party (NCP) has alleged vote rigging during counting in Dhaka 8, warning it will not accept results if irregularities persist.
At a media briefing at 10pm on Thursday, NCP electioneering chief Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain claimed attempts were being made to engineer results in favour of BNP leader Mirza Abbas.
He alleged Abbas's wife was overseeing the count, questioning her authority.
"We see clear possibilities of manipulation. If they try to impose results, we will not accept them," he said.
