Dhaka, Oct. 22 -- The formation of a caretaker government before the implementation of the July Charter is not feasible, the National Citizen Party Convenor Nahid Islam.

On Wednesday, following a meeting with Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus, he said if anyone intends to implement the Charter before a public referendum, the Election Commission would also have to be "reconstituted according to the law of the July Charter or the consensus therein".

"Otherwise, the intent of those advocating it falls into question."

The four-member NCP delegation, led by Nahid Islam, met Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna after 5pm. Members included Sarjis Alam, Samantha Sharmin, and Khalid Saifullah.
