Dhaka, March 10 -- The mother of the Dhaka University student allegedly beaten and turned over to the police by members of the NCP's student affiliate Jatiya Chhatra Shakti over suspicions that he was involved with the Chhatra League, has filed a complaint against several students with Shahbagh Police Station.

Parveen Akter, the mother of the victim Rahid Khan Pavel, filed the complaint with Moniruzzaman, chief of Shahbagh Police Station.

The complaint said that injured Pavel is a student of the 2020-21 session of the Department of Philosophy at Dhaka University.
