Bangladesh, May 31 -- Ad-din Medical College Hospital has been fined Tk 300,000 after a mobile court uncovered hygiene lapses and irregularities in food management during a surprise inspection.

A team led by Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Executive Magistrate Aminul Islam conducted the drive at the hospital on Sunday and issued the order.

The inspection continued from 3:30pm to 6pm, carried out by a three-member city corporation team.Aminul said they also found unlabeled food items.

He said Tk 200,000 was fined under the Safe Food Act and Tk 100,000 under the Consumer Rights Protection Act.

The hospital authorities paid the fine immediately.
