Dhaka, May 10 -- Mehidy Hasan Miraz produced a superb 5-wicket haul to steer Bangladesh to a narrow first-innings lead after Pakistan were bowled out for 386 on the third day of the Mirpur Test.
The offspinner's 5 for 102 ran through the heart of Pakistan's innings, ensuring Bangladesh stayed ahead despite stubborn resistance from the visitors at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan's fightback was anchored by Azan Awais's (103) composed century, while Abdullah Fazal (60), Salman Agha (58) and Mohammad Rizwan (59) all contributed valuable half-centuries to steadily erode Bangladesh's advantage.
But the hosts kept striking at crucial moments to prevent the innings from slipping away.
