Dhaka, Feb. 6 -- A mild cold wave is sweeping over the Moulvibazar, Panchagarh, Rajshahi and Pabna districts, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department says.

Meteorologist Shahnaz Sultana told bdnews24.com on Friday afternoon that the cold wave may continue in the four districts on Saturday, with little change in temperature.

"There is a possibility of a slight increase in temperature from Monday," she said.

According to the Met Office, the lowest temperature recorded in the country over the 24 hours until Friday morning was 8.4 degrees Celsius in Sreemangal, while the highest was 31.6 degrees Celsius in Teknaf.
