Dhaka, Oct. 27 -- Metro rail service along the entire line has resumed after an extended pause following the death of a pedestrian due to a fallen bearing pad from the elevated track in Farmgate.

The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, which operates the metro rail, said that train services from Uttara to Motijheel resumed at 11am on Monday.

DMTCL Additional Project Director Rezaur Rahman Akand told bdnews24.com, "Train services were suspended on the Agargaon to Shahbagh section since yesterday, and a trial run was conducted on this section in the morning.

"Since then, the trains are running along the entire route in full swing from 11am."
