Dhaka, June 22 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in parts of four divisions and advised inland river ports to hoist cautionary signal No. 1.

BMD Assistant Meteorologist Kazi Jebunnesa told bdnews24.com on Monday afternoon that the affected areas would include parts of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

She added that the weather would not affect the entirety of the four divisions.

The 24-hour forecast, starting at 6pm, indicated that light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds and lightning, might occur in many places of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, as well as in some areas of Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions. ...
