Bangladesh, Sept. 7 -- A Dhaka court has granted police five days to interrogate a man in custody in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act over an alleged attempt to enter Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's security cordon in Farmgate.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sarah Farzana Haque issued the remand order on Monday after hearing a petition from the investigating officer.

The man has been identified as 29-year-old Mohibullah Mubin.

Police say the incident occurred as the prime minister was heading to a programme at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh auditorium marking the BNP's 48th founding anniversary.

His motorcade travelled from the Prime Minister's Office through Bijoy Sarani and Urojahaj Crossing before reaching the venue....
