Bangladesh, July 10 -- A man has been killed and another critically injured in a suspected gas cylinder explosion at a motorcycle parts warehouse in Old Dhaka's Bangshal.

The blast struck the warehouse in Mukim Bazar's Shia Goli around 4:30am on Friday.

The victim was identified as Delowar Hossain, 35, a motorcycle parts trader.

His cousin Nazmul Hossain, 33, was admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in critical condition.

Hamidul Islam, who took them to hospital, said a gas leak apparently triggered the cylinder explosion at the warehouse behind Halim Motors.

The blast sparked a fire and brought down part of a wall, which fell on Delowar.
