Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- A clash between rival groups reportedly over local supremacy in Gopalganj's Muksudpur has left a man dead and at least 10 others injured.
The incident occurred around 11am on Monday in Kamalapur village, according to Muksudpur Police chief Abdullah Al Mamun.
The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Nilu Munshi, a resident of Kamalapur.
Local sources indicate that both factions involved in the conflict are affiliated with the BNP.
Police said a longstanding dispute over "establishing dominance" in Kamalapur village fuelled the violence.
