Dhaka, March 25 -- A man has died after being beaten during a dispute over the construction of a wall in Chuadanga's Damurhuda.

Two people have been arrested over the incident, which took place around 2pm on Tuesday in Muktarpur village, according to Damurhuda Model Police Station chief (OC) Sheikh Mesbah Uddin.

The victim was identified as Shahidul Islam Dhali, 53, a cook and son of Maula Box Dhali of Majerpara in Muktarpur village under Damurhuda Sadar Union.

Police and local residents said the dispute began when Shahidul's younger brother, Shahin Islam Dhali, was building a wall on his land.
