Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- Four people, including a man and his son, have been killed in a clash stemming from a long-running turf war between rival factions in Narail Sadar Upazila.
The incident occurred around 5am on Monday in Barakula village under Singasholpur Union, said Oli Mia, chief (OC) of Narail Sadar Police Station.
The victims were identified as Khalil Sheikh, 55, his son Tahazzad Sheikh, 35, Ferdous, 33, and former Union council chairman Osibur Mia, 65.
Narail Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Al Mamun Shikder said supporters of two former Singasholpur Union chairmen, Khayer Molla and Ujjal Sheikh, had been embroiled in a power struggle.
