Dhaka, April 26 -- At least 14 people have been killed and several others injured in lightning strikes across seven districts of Bangladesh amid sudden storms.
Police and local representatives said the deaths occurred at different times on Sunday.
Gaibandha recorded the highest number of fatalities, with five people, including an SSC examinee, killed in separate incidents in Sundarganj, Saghata and Phulchari Upazilas.
Two people each were killed in Sirajganj, Jamalpur and Thakurgaon.
One person each died in Panchagarh, Bogura and Natore.
