Dhaka, May 13 -- An Israeli drone strike in southern, war-ravaged Lebanon has killed another man native to Satkhira, officials said, bringing the district's death toll to three amid escalating regional violence.

The latest victim, Shuvo Kumar Das, 28, was the son of Suranjan Das of Sripratipur village in Kalaroa Upazila.

Kalaroa Upazila administrator (UNO) Ariful Islam said, "On Monday night, Shuvo was caught in a drone strike while moving through a conflict-prone area in Maifadun, Lebanon. We have learned he died on the spot."

The family confirmed they received news of his death on Tuesday afternoon.
