Dhaka, May 17 -- A petition has been filed with the High Court seeking an investigation into the 18-month tenure of the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus.

After a preliminary hearing on Sunday, the High Court bench of Justice Ahmed Sohel and Justice Fatema Anwar set Thursday for an order.

The petition was filed by senior lawyer Mohsin Rashid, while advocate MK Rahman argued on behalf of the petitioner.

Attorney General Ruhul Quddus Kazal represented the state.

Later, MK Rahman alleged that the interim administration had created "anarchy" across all sectors, including the economy and healthcare, during its 18 months in office.
