Dhaka, May 10 -- Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has announced that he will take initiatives to reform existing laws to put an end to mob culture.

"The existing laws will be amended and supplemented to ensure they are up-to-date," he said as a special guest at Police Week-2026 event at the Rajarbagh Police Auditorium in Dhaka on Sunday.

He also gave assurances that the government would fulfil reasonable demands, after considering its financial stability and capacity, in order to develop the police force as a modern force oriented towards the public.
