Dhaka, April 13 -- Law Minister Md Asaduzzaman has called for urgent reforms to the Bar Council examination system to eliminate existing "disparities" facing law graduates.
Speaking at the closing of a law graduates' internship programme on Monday, the minister highlighted the challenges faced by meritorious students, particularly those from English-medium backgrounds or those who studied abroad.
"There is a disparity in the Bar Council examination," the minister said during the event at the Supreme Court auditorium, organised by the Attorney General's Office and UNDP.
"I urge the Bar Council chairman and members to examine how the process can be made more contemporary."
