Dhaka, March 8 -- A young man has allegedly been beaten to death by employees of a filling station in Jhenaidah city following an argument over buying fuel.
The victim, identified only as Nirob, 22, was from Barobazar in Kaliganj Upazila.
He died around 8pm on Saturday after being rushed to a hospital.
According to Jhenaidah Additional Superintendent of Police Md Mahfuz Alam, the incident began when Nirob went to Taj Filling Station to buy petrol for his motorcycle.
An initial altercation broke out between Nirob and the pump staff, prompting him to leave and visit another station.
However, he returned to Taj Filling Station on his way back, leading to a physical confrontation.
