Dhaka, May 21 -- ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader, secretary general of a faction of the Jatiya Party, has been admitted to a Dhaka hospital with cardiac complications.

The former minister is being treated at the CCU of the capital's United Hospital, the party's Office Secretary MA Razzak Khan said on Thursday.

Razzak said Ruhul sought medical attention at the hospital after feeling unwell on Tuesday. He was diagnosed with high blood pressure.

After initial treatment, when his physical condition improved slightly, doctors advised him to return home for rest.

But his physical condition deteriorated on Wednesday night. He was rushed to the hospital again, leading to his admission to the CCU.
