Dhaka, Sept. 27 -- The Department of Pharmacy and the School of Pharmacy and Public Health (SPPH) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) have held a seminar to mark World Pharmacists Day 2026.

The seminar was held on Saturday under the theme "Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures", the university said in a statement.

Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) Additional Secretary Md Alamgir Hossain attended the event as chief guest, while IUB Vice-Chancellor Prof M Tamim chaired the event, and Husne Ara Ali, a member of the IUB Board of Trustees and vice chairman of ESTCDT, attended as special guest, the statement said.
