Bangladesh, July 12 -- The Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka, in collaboration with the Indonesia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI), says it is helping Bangladesh expand its footprint in the fast-growing global halal industry.

The embassy and IBCCI facilitated the participation of Bangladeshi businesses in the D-8 Halal Expo 2026 in Indonesia, reads a media statement.

The five-day exhibition, aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, promoting the halal industry, and fostering greater trade and investment among D-8 member countries, ended on Saturday.
