Dhaka, April 6 -- Operations at Sylhet's Osmani International Airport have shifted to manual processing following a fire in the immigration server room.

Airport Director Hafiz Ahmed said on Monday morning that immigration staff had resumed manual operations early in the day.

"Although working manually causes slight delays, passengers are still being served," he said.

"Flight operations have not been disrupted. Officials from the Dhaka Immigration Office will visit to assess the damage."

The fire erupted around 11:30pm on Sunday.

Two units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence responded promptly and contained the flames within half an hour.
