Dhaka, Dec. 13 -- The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has approved $51.4 million to finance a project in Bangladesh, aiming to build climate resilience, strengthen food security, and promote rural entrepreneurship.

A media statement issued by specialised agency of the United Nations said the allocation accounts for a fourth of the overall budget of the project that promises to support smallholder farmers, rural microenterprises, and young entrepreneurs.

The project titled "Growth for Climate Resilient and Environmental Entrepreneurship and Nutrition", or GREEN, has an overall budget of $211.7 million.
