Bangladesh, Aug. 5 -- The International Crimes Tribunal prosecution has asked Meta for data on former army major Mozaffar Hossain's suspicious Facebook contacts, 45 years after he was accused of involvement in former president Ziaur Rahman's assassination.

The inquiry focuses on his conversations with several accounts using images of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and Sajeeb Wazed Joy.

The 77-year-old fugitive was arrested in Banani on Jul 15 and handed to military police in Dhaka Cantonment the following day.

On Jul 23, the tribunal showed him arrested in a crimes-against-humanity case and allowed his interrogation.
