Dhaka, May 21 -- The High Court has summarily dismissed a writ petition seeking an investigation into the 18-month tenure of the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus and the trade agreement signed with the United States.

On Thursday, a High Court bench comprising Justice Ahmed Sohel and Justice Fatema Anwar passed the order.

Senior Supreme Court lawyer Mohsin Rashid filed the petition on Sunday.

Senior lawyer MK Rahman represented the petitioner while Attorney General Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal was the state counsel.
